Read This Story

A lady came by my shop the other day wanting a photo framed.  She had just gotten an estimate for "over $200" for the job from one of the nationally known Big-Box retailers down the road.  She explained that the price seemed high and the person behind the counter advised her to watch the Sunday newspaper for a 50% OFF coupon and then make a return trip to the store.  Then the lady remembered that a friend had recommended Frames & Images.  She admitted that upon driving up to our store that she hesitated to enter for fear that our prices would be even higher due to the nice appearance of our shop.  Together, we designed the piece with a Larson-Juhl wood frame, matting, and a silver fillet that she said looked far nicer than the layout at Big-Box which used a cheap metal frame.   I entered the specs into our computerized ordering system and the everyday regular price came to $105.  She was so impressed that she then decided to have her cross-stitch framed as well.

Moral Of The Story

The retail landscape is full of gimmicks, mark-it-up to mark-it-down deals, bait-and-switch tactics, and coupons with nebulous claims like "50% off your custom frame moulding," whatever that means.  At Frames & Images we have stuck by a simple principle since our inception 17 years ago.  Give people honest to good value and service and they will keep coming back.  In short, our customers trust us because we have earned their trust.  Do we offer 50% OFF on our custom framing?  You bet we do, everyday, and we always have.  Shop and compare and you will see for yourself.  Our everyday low price means that you don't have to play games or wait for a coupon.  So next time that you see a 50% OFF claim, ask yourself, 50% off of what?
