Working primarily in oil and water color, Norma
Riegle approaches her artwork with a realistic treatment
enhanced by her own interpretation of beauty. Known
especially for her landscapes and florals, her goal is to
portray the play of light upon Nature's dazzling colors. Basically a self-taught artist, Norma's numerous awards include 1985 and 1986 Rhode Island Governor's trophies, Grumbacher Art Award for Artistic Achievement, and 1989 Blount County Dogwood Arts Festival 10th Anniversary Commemorative Print.
